Skyler,

I agree and am a altec backbeat fan myself. I currently use the 906 model's but they fit my lifestyle just the way I need. Sound is great also.

I got these because I loved the idea of having no cables to worry about regardless of where I use them in the house. To my surprise, they work really well! The audio quality is excellent and way better than any corded stereo headphones and ear buds I put on when using my iPod.

The only bad thing I could say about these which is more of an opinion is that sometimes I’ll have to switch pockets where I carry my phone (depends on what I’m wearing that day). It only happens once every 2 weeks but with some clothes if you don’t move your phone, the music will skip here and there due to materials blocking the signal.

When you’re around your home sitting or doing normal activities, it works flawlessly and I can’t stress enough how good the sound is, but then again – for the price I wouldn’t expect anything less? This is a seriously amazing sounding and built product and everyone who tries them out are blown away. Now that summer is here, I noticed the skipping only was a slight problem when wearing a winter jacket with layer upon layer. It doesn’t’ take much moving to get the connection solid again so I really shouldn’t even be talking about it as you shouldn’t be turned off by these at all.

Update: I was at a friend’s house and wanted to hear how it sounded hooked up to his Xbox 360 and PS3 for night-time playing and what a difference. I couldn’t believe how much sound I wasn’t hearing in all my games and how even in Call of Duty Black Ops… I was able to hear enemy footsteps come up from behind really giving me an edge. Also you won’t wake anyone up with them blasted and now I have to play with them on always since I never would think the TV would dull out half the sounds in games.

I say go try them out and if you do not like them, return it and get whatever you want. This was my 5th set which I finally found to be above excellent in every way.

The backbeat headphones are the way to go it seems as altec lansing is doing a amazing job in this department. They are not the cheapest pair of bluetooth stereo headphones but I can guarantee no one will be returning these after trying them.

I keep hearing how nice they work with iphones and ipod touch's. I did get to use them for a week for testing and it felt like they were made for iphones heh, thanks for writing.

I decided to try these headsets because they were bluetooth and I wanted something that was a little more comfortable then those one ear bluetooth devices. This product worked fantastic with my LG phone but with my Hero phone it will only work with the phone part and not the music part. It works great with the IPhone. I loaned them to a fellow co worker and he was amazed at the range he was able to get with them.

If you are looking for a comfortable set of headphones at a reasonable price these are good.

Also, I've worn the headphones a few times in the rain, and there's no problem with getting slighty wet. The battery ilfe is actually surprisingly good (about 15-16 hrs, I'd say), as is the sound quality.
